Traveling multiple hours in Texas heat to see our favorite artists live is one of the biggest burdens of living in San Antonio. The new year however seems to lift that burden off our mainstream-music-loving shoulders. 2014 is filled with scheduled concerts including Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, One Direction and many more.
The string of celebrities and concerts kicks off with the Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” world tour. The wrecking ball singer will be performing at the AT&T center Saturday March 15. Op
ening acts will include Icona Pop and Sky Ferreira. Hurry up and get tickets now because let’s face it, who doesn’t want to see what Miley will do next?
Flash forward to summer, Lady Gaga will be taking the stage at the AT&T center on Monday July 14. Mother Monster called for a more interactive performance, therefore the stage will be split in two, the main stage and one at the end of the arena and a catwalk winding around the floor. In between being the new face of Versace and writing even more new music, Gaga is still offering a meet and greet in a private lounge, plus a photo-op for VIP purchases. Tickets for the unforgettable concert are available December 16.
On August 2, make sure to ditch those heels and sandals for a pair of sneakers at the AT&T Center because Vans Warped Tour will be rocking with performances by Mayday Parade, Stray From The Path, Air Dubai, Attila and Plague Vendor. The bands may not be Billboard famous, but come on, does Warped ever disappoint? Tickets for the event are available now with more announcements to come.
Not even a week after that, Justin Timberlake will be bringing his infamous Suit and Tie to the Alamo city at the AT&T Center August 5. Tickets are available now for The 20/20 Experience world tour which is set to have an unbelievable 30 song set list. Um, NSYNC who?
But before you start swiping daddy’s debit card, you might want to save your money for this one. America’s favorite foreigners, aka One Direction, who will be bringing the “Where We Are” tour to the Alamodome September 21. Tickets are available now and the price range goes from $58 to $9650. So pick up that extra shift at work now if you’re planning on going VIP.
More gigs including Journey, Bring Me the Horizon, Of Mice And Men and more are set to hit San Antonio. Be sure to be on the look out for pre-sale tickets as well as official releases in order to get the best seat in the house (or the seat where Justin Timberlake’s sweat will rain on you.)
