After publicizing future dates for the upcoming “I’m With You Tour,” the Red Hot Chili Peppers have followed up with an unexpected delay announcement. The San Antonio concert date will pushed fromMarch 6 to September 29. According to Billboard.com, lead singer Anthony Kiedis had sustained a foot injury that required immediate surgery. His recovery time will postpone all tour dates, but all tickets purchased before the postponement will still be valid and not have to be repurchased.
On December 26, 2011, the original members of Van Halen announced a nationwide reunion tour that will include San Antonio as a stop. The band, including legendary front man David Lee Roth, will also be releasing and promoting their new album, “A Different Kind of Truth,” which is due to release on February 7.The concert date is set for June 22, although tickets are currently unavailable.
South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival, held from March 13-18, will take place in downtown Austin. It’s the ultimate spring break, a famed festival held in downtown Austin, where multiple stages are set up to accommodate close to 2,000 bands, both international and domestic. The bands that are scheduled in the line up include The Fray, Asking Alexandria, Shiny Toy Guns, and a number of foreign acts from Canada to the Netherlands. The music festival is preceded by an Interactive and Film Festival from March 9-13.
