A winter storm has shut down all highways in San Antonio with a layer of ice prompting NEISD along with all other area school districts to cancel classes and events for Friday, Feb. 4
Campus Events Updates
Production of Grease is postponed for this evening. A new show time has been added to the schedule. Friday’s performance will now take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Tickets purchased for Friday’s performance will be accepted for the 1:00 p.m. showing only. If you were planning to pick up tickets for Friday’s performance at the window, you may still do so for the 1:00 p.m. show Saturday. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the theater department.
2) Basketball – Postponed until Saturday
Games scheduled for this evening have been postponed until tomorrow (Saturday). Girls Varsity Team will play at 12:00 p.m. at Johnson. Boys Varsity Team will play at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson. All sub-varsity games have been canceled.
3) Wrestling – District Tournament – Postponed until Saturday
District tournament has been rescheduled for Saturday and Monday. The District tournament will begin Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Roosevelt. This portion of the tournament will be the qualifying rounds. Monday, February 7th the finals will take place at Roosevelt. Time for the finals to begin is yet to be determined.
4) Aquatics- Regional Tournament – Postponed until Monday and Tuesday
The first round of the Regional Aquatics Meet will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, February 7th. The finals will be on Tuesday, February 8th beginning at 9:30 a.m. The tournament is being held at the Josh Davis Aquatic Center (BAC)
5) Soccer – District Play- Postponed until Saturday
Games have been rescheduled for Saturday afternoon. Girls Varsity Team will begin play at 12:00 p.m. The Boys Varsity Team will begin play at 2:00 p.m. Both games are on the field at Comalander Stadium. All sub-varsity games have been canceled.
6) Saturday Detention is canceled for tomorrow (Saturday). Students assigned to detention this week will be rescheduled on another date.
