The Jaguar Lady Golf Team got off to a great start this past week with a solid performance at the 1st Annual Swing 4 the Cure golf tournament. The team showed solid improvement each day while finishing 7th in an extremely talented field.
The Jags were led by freshman Taylor Coleman and sophomore Nikki Long. Coleman had a banner tournament as she broke the school record for scoring 3 times this past weekend. Taylor carded rounds of 71-69-68 and finished 5 under par for the tournament. Additionally, Taylor captured the low medalist for the event.
Other players who played well were Mailisa Paradesa, Olivia Hull, and Caileigh Reed. The Lady Jags will be in action again on Oct 28-29, 2011 at Pecan Valley golf course here in San Antonio.
