The Johnson JROTC will be hosting it’s 4th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot from November 15 to 17. Teachers can bring their classes at certain times to participate in the event, or students can go to the JROTC building individually.
Participants are to pay a $1 donation for three shots at a paper turkey target. The person with the closest shots to the bulls-eye win a free Thanksgiving turkey.
A person can submit themselves into the following 11 categories to win: student male, student female, teacher male, teacher female, athletics, fine arts, cadet male, cadet female, parent, administration/counselors, and school maintenance.
The winners of the event will be announced the morning of Friday, November 18. Winners will have until 4:30 pm to pick up their turkey.
The Turkey Shoot is not only a great way for all students and faculty to be involved in school holiday functions, but it is also a way to be involved in giving back to the school and community.
