Junior Aletheia Bala's room with her dog, Brooklyn, sleeping on her bed. At the back of her room is her desk, which functions as a gaming and studying area. For many teenagers like Bala, their bedrooms give them the ability to express themselves and find autonomy as they get older. 

"I just love collecting things and putting them up," Bala said. "I like adding a lot of personality to my room."
A bedroom can reflect a lot about a person's interests, mindset, past, and even future.

"It gave me the idea that 'Hey, this room is mine and I'd made of things I enjoy and people have given to me and I really appreciate it and what its been able to develop," Bala said.
