It’s just an average week for movies- nothing too big coming out, but there are a few to take a look at.
Finding Nemo 3D
The studios big thing now is to rehash older big budgeted films from the past and bring them back in 3D. But, this is one to at least consider. The movie itself is great, wonderful voice acting, and incredible animation, and worth seeing in 3D if you have nothing to do this weekend.
10 years
10 years is about a bunch of friends who haven’t seen each other in well 10 years. There are a bunch of story lines going on at once so its hard to really pin point which one is the main plot, I assume its Channing Tatum’s storyline. Honestly the movie doesn’t look horrible, but it doesn’t look good either it really just applies to the lowest common denominator and it really doesn’t look like its worth a hundred minutes of your time.
The Master
Now this is the only one I’m really excited about – The Master. Set in the 1950‘s, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix are leaders of a new faith based organization that is beginning to catch attention in America. It’s from the brilliant mind of Paul Thomas Anderson who has yet to have a bad movie to his name and has had a five year long hiatus from movies since his incredible There Will Be Blood. Now the plot doesn’t sound very interesting to some and it certainly won’t intrigue all, but if you are a fan of Paul Thomas Anderson, or just a fan of well made films, then this is the movie to see this weekend.
All of these open September 14 2012.
