Johnson band did extremely well at the Texas Marching Classic this weekend, held at the Round Rock ISD Stadium in Round Rock, Texas. The band placed first both in preliminary and finals competition, and took home awards in finals for Best Music, Best Visual, Best General Effect, Best Colorguard, and Best Percussion. The band competed against 12 other bands in finals competition, including the 2011 UIL 4A State Marching Champions, Cedar Park High School, and BOA Finalists Vandegrift and Pflugerville High School from Austin, Texas area.
