Johnson cheer went off to competition this past weekend and returned with the gold.
“There were about 30 teams total, but only four or five in the high school division,” Alexandra Hutcheson said.
The competition consisted of many “All Star” teams, but only a select few were high school cheer teams.
“Macarthur was there,” junior Jordan Gray said. “Which is the only other school most people from Johnson would recognize.”
Cheer will compete in the big rounds at their regionals competitions in the upcoming weeks.
“We got number one with what we had then,” Hutcheson said. “So we need to just keep on building off of that and just improve all the problems we had so when it comes to regionals we are totally prepared for it.”
