Jon Favreau brings us a live-action adaptation of the 1967 Disney animated movie, The Jungle Book, and it is a huge success. The star-studded cast along with the amazing visuals truly brings the story to life.
The cast is packed with talented actors including Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Bill Murray as Baloo, Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, Idris Elba as Shere Khan, and Christopher Walken as King Louie. Neel Sethi plays Mowgli in his first feature film, and he does a great job as well. All the actors bring the personality of the animal they’re portraying to life. Now, the visual effects are absolutely phenomenal, the animals and the environments look so realistic. At times the computer generated creations look like they are actually there, and because of this I was able to really buy into the talking animals. It is truly crazy how they were able to create such a breathtaking jungle with CGI. There are a lot of heartfelt and fun moments throughout the runtime to always keep the story moving.
The Jungle Book is a visual spectacle and a fun movie that I think both kids and parents can enjoy.
