Now that we are approaching the tail-end of 2017, it is about time for the holiday movies for Thanksgiving and Christmas to start being released. Though the year may be nearing an end, there is certainly no lack of exciting movies scheduled to release in November and December. Here are just a few of the end-of-the-year movies that people have anticipated.
#1. Star Wars: The last Jedi
Easily one of the most hyped movies of 2017, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the epic continuation to 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This Star Wars movie will pick up right where the previous movie left off. With an ominous title like “The Last Jedi” it will be exciting to see how this movie will play out. The Last Jedi will also finally feature Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and it seems like he will actually do something instead of just appearing for a few minutes at the end of the movie. Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres on Dec 15.
#2. Thor: Ragnarok
The newest movie in Marvel’s always amazing movie line(sorry DC fans) Thor: Ragnarok will feature Thor in his third stand-alone movie as he once again battles to save Asgard, this time from the evil Hela,Will he be successful? Probably, he’s in a Marvel movie after all. With an 8.3/10 on IMDb and a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, Thor: Ragnarok promises to be another excellent addition to the Marvel universe, The release date is Nov 2.
#3.Justice League
Not to be out done by the new Thor movie, this continuation of the DC universe comes off the success of the recent Wonder Woman movie (who’s in the new movie). This DC movie hopes to shrug off the disaster that was Batman v Superman by putting a lot of DC superheroes in the same movie. As of writing this, there are no reviews on IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes but I am hopeful that this will be a really good DC movie. The release date for Justice League is Nov 17.
#4. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
A sequel to the 1995 movie “Jumanji” “Welcome to the Jungle” will feature the ever brilliant Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart along with Jack Black,Nick Jonas, and Karen Gillan as they try to make their way out of the Jungle of Jumanji and get back to the real world, fans of the 1995 Jumanji will most definitely love this sequel. The release date for Jumanji: Welcome to Jungle is December 20.
