The stars of Christmas drinks

Lauryn Hughes | staff writer

Curled up on the couch sipping a nice holiday beverage is one of the nicest things anyone can experience during the holidays. But sometimes people are just bored of the hot chocolate and want to mix it up a bit, Starbucks is doing just that this season. They have put out some new, coffee inspired, mixes of the holiday flavors most people like to enjoy.

One of the first news drinks is the Caramel Brulée Latte. The whole thought put into this drink is very inspired. The flavor is super sweet, the caramelized sugar taste is very present and the sugar sprinkle garnish on top of the whipped cream finishes off the warm feeling this drink gives. From the first sip to the last, this drink is just the cure for cold spirits who need a taste of the holiday spirit, every sip feels like a warm hug.

Next is almost a Starbucks Christmas classic, it’s on the menu every holiday season but the holiday feeling of it never gets old. The Peppermint Mocha is just the way to kick off the holiday season. The mint to chocolate ratio is perfect to the taste buds. It is both warming and cooling at the same time. The experience is like sitting in holiday pajamas and watching a Christmas movie all in one drink.

If you’re bored of regular hot chocolate, one starbucks drink to break the ice would be the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. This drink if warming, rich, and perfect to drink with friends and family. The flavor will bring a holiday smile to the most Grinchy person and make the holiday spirit soar. This drink is sugar, spice, and everything nice all in one sip.

Or if the smell of holiday cookies baking is what brings Christmas spirit then the Snickerdoodle Hot Cocoa and Gingerbread Crème drinks are the way to go. Each drink tastes like holiday spirit to the max. The swirls of snickerdoodle and the sweet spices of the Gingerbread are the perfect ingredients for sipping the holiday spirit.

From cookies to peppermint, the holidays can be shown in event the smallest things. Starbucks is using the full joy of Christmas in everyone of their new holidays drinks on the menu. Each one is carefully made to bring a merry christmas to all and to all a good drink.
