Over the break, the Jags took first place in the Roosevelt Wrestling Tournament. Individual first place medals were awarded to six of Johnson’s wrestlers; seniors Reagan Powell and Steven Jayme, juniors Jeremy Waters Ryan Nolan and Marvin Smith, and freshman Blake Powell.
The Jags will look to continue their winning ways when they compete in a duel against Roosevelt on Thursday, January 6 at Johnson High School, with both JV and Varsity competing at 5:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. respectively.
Once they finish wrestling Roosevelt, the Jags varsity team will focus on the Centex Wrestling Tournament that will take place on Friday, January 7th and Saturday, January 8th at the Austin Delco Center with a scheduled start time of 8:30 a.m.
