The 2011 Track and Field season is now starting and many Jags are in training. Boys head track coach Mike Dutson is very confident of the athletes and their upcoming performance.
“I think with the guys that we have returning from last year, like Jacob Lady-Schreiber, and the sprints and the relays, we will have a good foundation to our track team,” Dutson said.
The JV and Varsity teams will both have talented runners competing.
“Zack Bradley also will help in the relays and sprints,” Dutson said. “We’ve got a good group of seniors coming back, like Prevost and Sean Johnson.”
The addition of several runners will also contribute to the success of the JV track team.
“Some talented new guys are coming in. [They] have transfered from other schools,” Dutson said. “And a good group of JV runners and field event guys that won the district championship last year [will compete], which I think will help our varsity group out at the next level.”
