Gabriel Iglesias, also known as Fluffy, is an American actor and comedian, well known for his show  “I’m Not Fat… I’m Fluffy and Hot & Fluffy”.

Gabriel Iglesias’ third Netflix special will be shot in San Antonio during his three-week run at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Iglesias mentions that this was the longest time he has been away from his fans; he misses and needs all of his fans around the world. He’s ready to return to the stage.

“I found out about Iglesias through his Netflix specials and later YouTube. The main reason I like his comedy so much is because he tends to focus on things that don’t carry as much weight, unlike other comedians,” junior Isaac Enriquez said. “When I found out he was coming here, I was very excited due to the fact that he is one of my favorite comedians and because I had never been to a comedy special before. I wish I could go, but I’m going to be out of state or working most of the summer,”

The Tobin Center run is part of his Beyond the Fluffy World Tour 2021: Go Big or Go Home Tour. The tour marks his return to performing after being stopped by the pandemic. This special will be his third for Netflix, after I’m sorry for what I said when I was hungry, which was shot in Chicago in 2016; and One show fits all, in Houston in 2019. Iglesias expects to give 24 performances in the Alamo City from June 23 through July 16; tickets will range from $55 to $65.

“When I found out that Gabriel Iglesias was coming I was shocked but happy at the same time because I’ve always wanted to go to one of his shows,” sophomore Nataly Campos said. “I found out about Gabriel Iglesias when I was ten. He was on TV playing and I was still living in Laredo in a small house they were bad times back then, but when I saw him on TV me and my mom just sat there and laughed the night away. He inspires me a lot especially because he’s Mexican and so many people out there think that Hispanics can’t do anything in life or we can’t make it big, but he inspires me that we can, [that] I can.”
