As a student at Johnson, it’s typical after school to spend your time either at Sonic, Las Palapas, or Dunkin’ Doughnuts. However, today I’d like to take you further into The Shops at Canyons shopping center to show you a wonderful little restaurant called Angkor Bistro.
Angkor Bistro serves South East Asian food as well as sushi and Boba. In fact inside the same building is a Boba shop called Tealicious. The drink’s featured on the Angkor Bistro menu come from there and they are incredible. I got a Black Sugar Milk Tea and it was the perfect sweet drink to go with my meal.
For food I got Shrimp Tempura, Sesame Chicken, and Fried Spring rolls. All of these were served hot and fresh straight out of the kitchen. The Fried Spring rolls were the perfect mix of crunchy on the outside with a soft and tasty filling and it came with a great sauce as well. The Sesame Chicken was juicy and the sesame seeds were crunchy. It was covered in an amazing sweet sauce. It also came with a side of rice Which also tasted really good with the sauce.
My absolute favorite thing I got was the Shrimp Tempura. It was absolutely delicious, so much so that I ate all of them though I was supposed to share them with my mom. That’s how truly amazing they were. And if I were only able to recommend one thing I got to you it would definitely be the Shrimp Tempura.
Angkor Bistro is a really cute little restaurant with some of the best Asian food I’ve ever had. So, next time you’re looking for a snack instead of going to the usual boring old Sonic or Dunkin’, give Angkor Bistro a try. I promise you won’t regret it.
