The varsity tennis doubles season ended after the team lost in the second round of playoffs against Lake Travis.

“Personally I think we need to probably improve our doubles,” senior Andrew Marcroft said. “That’s where we’re strong at and we definitely didn’t do as good as we should’ve.”

Most team players were seniors and graduated last year, and so this year the team consisted of many new recruits.

“Last year we had a pretty strong team,” junior Jennifer Lee said. “But this year we have new guys line up so it’s a very different dynamic.”

The spring season starts in January. Practice for singles will start in November, giving the team a small rest period before they prepare to compete again.

“I’m just excited to see where this goes,” Lee said.
