Sophomore Alinne Flores is wearing a navy Bay Area shirt, gray sweatpants, dainty jewelry, with perfectly curled hair. Though what can’t be told from a first look is that she loves to read. “I like to read like realistic fiction, well like nothing against fiction. But I like to read realistic fiction like books about being educated and stuff like that.” Flores spends an average of four times a week reading. “Bell Hooks is one of my favorite authors, and I try to read as often as I can, but sometimes I can kind of get like a reader’s block.”
