Junior Aletheia Balas room with her dog, Brooklyn, sleeping on her bed. At the back of her room is her desk, which functions as a gaming and studying area. For many teenagers like Bala, their bedrooms give them the ability to express themselves and find autonomy as they get older. I just love collecting things and putting them up, Bala said. I like adding a lot of personality to my room. A bedroom can reflect a lot about a persons interests, mindset, past, and even future. It gave me the idea that Hey, this room is mine and Id made of things I enjoy and people have given to me and I really appreciate it and what its been able to develop, Bala said.
