Another year; another yearbook

As the school year comes to an end, many students are anticipating the release of this year’s yearbook.

“With a yearbook, you can look back in a few years and remember the good times about high school,” junior Caitlin Young said.

Students can expect to receive their yearbooks on specific days.

“You must get it on the distribution day. Wednesday the 18th is for seniors, the 19th is for juniors, and the 20th is for freshmen and sophomores,” Young said.

Yearbooks are handed out in a specific room at a set price.

“You can get yearbooks for $75, in room A128,” Young said.

A distinguished memento of the year, an annual gives everyone a chance to be featured and remembered.

“Everybody deserves a face in the yearbook,” Young said, “I like to include everyone, because its nice to feel important.”

Its polished state is the result of many months of work and deliberation.

“There is so much work, it’s insane, it’s all we do all year,” Young, a yearbook editor, said, “We work hard for all the appreciation from the students, and the awards.”

Yearbooks are special for many students, but are also dear to their parents.

“Seniors definitely are interested in getting their yearbooks,” Young said, “But parents always call to confirm their purchase of the yearbook.”

The format of the book changes each year, and sometimes the change revolutionizes the way a yearbook is made.

“Last year’s yearbook had the flip page; now we have Scan Life, which allows you to see videos when connected,” Young said. “You basically relive events 10 years later with the video, and it lets more people in the book.”

Yearbooks will be on sale all of next week, in addition to the after-school distribution days.
