We’re baaaaaack.
The Jags liked being in the state tournament so much they decided a one year hiatus was too much.
With their thrilling victory over Churchill in the Regional Final that went down to the absolute last shot-a beauty of a pk netted by Adriana Garcia-the Jags have advanced to the State semifinals.
The final four teams in the state of Texas set to duke it out all for the sake of writing their names in the history books as the top team in the state.
Johnson will play Southlake Carroll on Friday at 1PM at Birkelbach Field in Georgetown. This is the second visit in the past three years, and they’re not being given enough credit heading into the contest.
Two years ago the Jags took on Mckinney-Boyd who was ranked number two in the nation and was riding a huge win streak. They held that team to one goal on a pk in the opening minutes. This team can do it, and they believe they can. They lost to the favorite Plano West by two goals earlier in the season, but this was without all of their players so they hadn’t had enough time to get going as a unit, but now with a whole regular season behind them the team is in unprecedented form and looks ready to topple some giants.
