Varsity sports take over the fields

Varsity Football 

After having the game halted by a bomb threat, the Jags varsity football team finished off the MacArthur Brahmas 24-10 monday night. Senior Xavier McElhannon ran for 127 yards for his 3rd 100 yard rushing game so far this season. Junior Hunter Rittimann completed 8 of 19 passes for 147 yards and threw for two touchdowns. With the victory, the Jags improved to 3-2(1-0). Next, the Jags have a bye week, but will face Churchill on October 12th.

Varsity Volleyball

The Varsity volleyball team played Churchill, and came out serving the Chargers a tremendous defeat.

The varsity Jags volleyball team extended their win streak to three games by defeating Madison 3-2 and improved to an 18-18(4-2) overall record. The Jags also defeated MacArthur 25-22, 25-19, 25-17 to push their record to 19-18(5-2). With the victory, the Jags moved into third place in the district. The Jags have a match against Churchill next week and have an opportunity to move into second in the district.

Varsity Cross Country

The Varsity Cross Country team meets at both North Side I.S.D and Georgetown this past week were canceled due to the rain. The next meet will be at A-Starcke Park on October sixth for JV. The next Varsity meet will take place at Judson on October 10.

Varsity Tennis

After being rained out in their matches against both Clark and Alamo Heights, Jags Varsity Tennis defeated Roosevelt 10-2 to improve to 10-4(4-1). Next the Jags will face rivals, Reagan, on October ninth.
