The varsity volleyball team will be taking on the Lady Chargers this Friday in a game that promises to be one of the most intense yet.

“They’re very big competition,” Coach Nicole Blakeman said.

The Jags hold a strong 3-0 record at district, with a 26-8 record overall. WIth the upcoming match, they hope to raise that number in their favor.

“We’re really focusing on ball control and being aggressive,” Blakeman said.

The Express-News recently ranked Johnson as #2 in the city, while opposing Churchill sits at #6. The Lady Jags hope to see another win and maintain their high ranking.

The game begins at 8 p.m. at Littleton Gym.

JV volleyball will also play Churchill on Friday, and hope for similar success. The squad has played an undefeated game thus far, making them a formidable opponent for the forceful Chargers.

“It’s going to be a tough game, but we’ll pull through with a victory,” a confident Riley Caskey said.

They play at Churchill High School, starting at 5 p.m.
